Lured by promises of a new life and socialist paradise in Trinidad, Willy and his family move to Trinidad to help build the dream under the guidance of eccentric German inventor, and real historical figure, Josef Etzler. Then his father dies, and he has to make a choice between staying with his family or returning to London with the woman he loves.
