St Cuthbert 's Way runs for 62 miles (100 km) from Melrose in the Scottish borders to Lindisfarne in the North Sea. The route passes abbeys, hill forts and castles, and finishes barefoot with the Pilgrims' Path across tidal sands. The walk can be completed comfortably in 5 or 6 days and features a choice of welcoming B&Bs and pubs.
