I Saw This is a collaborative arts project by artist Tom de Freston, documentary filmmaker Mark Jones and Oxford-based academic Ali Souleman. Inspired by the Syrian war and the terrorist explosion that left Souleman blind, the project explores trauma and suffering, sight and memory, inner and outer worlds, and questions of hope, life and death.
