The Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA) is a very active player in the promotion of citizensââ¬â¢ participation, which is key to good governance. By analysing ALDAââ¬â¢s 15 years hands-on experience, this publication contributes to a better understanding of the added value of citizensââ¬â¢ participation at the local level in the enlarged Europe.
